She received immediate pain relief and fluids as our team held their breath. A thorough assessment revealed multiple fractures and, most concerning of all, life-threatening internal bleeding.
For the next few days, Seraphina was in critical care. But this brave girl had other plans — she fought hard, and she made it through.
Today, Seraphina has recovered from the internal bleeding and is beginning the next phase of her rehabilitation. She has a broken foot that requires weekly splint changes and ongoing monitoring, meaning she’ll be in our care for the next couple of months. With time, expert vet care and plenty of eucalyptus, she has a good chance of returning to the treetops where she belongs.
