Violet

Rescued : 30 /9/2024 Reason: Vehicle strike Weight: 1.01kg Sex: Female

Violet's story is as heartbreaking as it gets. Violet lost her mother in a tragic accident on Manning Road in Aberfoyle Park. The impact of the vehicle was so severe that her mother likely passed instantly. Miraculously, Violet survived but suffered a serious arm injury.

A kind-hearted newspaper delivery driver rescued Violet from the road, but she's now facing a long road to recovery. The injury has left her with partial paralysis in one arm, requiring intensive care and specialised treatment.

How I got my name: The newspaper delivery driver was named Villi, inspiring the "V" theme. We named Crumble shortly after, paying homage to a delicious chocolate treat.

Favourite eucalypt to eat: River Red Gum (Eucalyptus Camaldulensis)

Crumble

Rescued : 23 /10/2024 Reason: Orphan Weight: 1.49kg Sex: Female

Crumble, a tiny koala joey, faced a heartbreaking loss when her mother succumbed to renal failure. Delicate and vulnerable, she was left alone in the world. Yet, hope emerged from the unexpected. Enter Violet, another koala joey of similar size, who shared a similar fate losing her mum to a vehicle strike.

Drawn together by circumstance and a shared need for companionship, Crumble and Violet have formed an unbreakable bond. Their friendship has blossomed and is filled with playful antics and tender moments. While Violet, the more serene of the two, exudes a calm and collected demeanour, Crumble is a whirlwind of energy. Her zoomie-filled escapades are legendary, leaving everyone in stitches with her boundless enthusiasm.

How I got my name: Crumble was found in a park off Cottage Lane, hence the connection to the letter ‘C’. We already had “Violet” in care who was almost the same so decided to do a tribute to a yummy chocolate bar for the duo “Violet Crumble”

Favourite eucalypt to eat: Eucalyptus Camaldulensis (River Red Gum)

Together, this dynamic duo brings joy and laughter to everyone they encounter. Their heartwarming friendship serves as a testament to the power of love and resilience, inspiring hope and reminding us of the beauty of life's unexpected connections.
